What a small Italian pizzeria taught me about food, health, and midlife, and why diets don’t work after 40.

I saw this sign hanging in a tiny pizzeria in Italy, and it stopped me in my tracks.

“Fanculo la dieta.”

If you don’t speak Italian, it translates to:
“F*ck the diet.”

And honestly?
I couldn’t have said it better myself.

As a midlife health coach, this one phrase captures so much of what I teach about food freedom, mindful eating, and why diets don’t work after 40.
